2017 Veteran of the Year
Assemblymember Irwin with the 2017 44th Assembly District Veteran of the Year, Roberto Juarez. Roberto served in the Army from 1966 through 1970. In 1978, he became the CEO of Clinicas Del Camino Real, which employs over 800 employees throughout 13 clinics.

On April 24, Andy Stevens was recognized on the floor of the Assembly as Assemblymember Irwin's 2017 Holocaust honoree. The Assemblymember presented him with his certificate on June 4 at a reception with friends at Cantors Deli.
