(Oxnard) - Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks) promised that she would fight every day to find solutions to the challenges facing Ventura County. The Brine Line solution proves that she meant what she said. The Brine Line stood completed but not in use until Assemblymember Irwin brought the water district, farmers, and various state agencies together to find a creative way to utilize the plant as a means to bring purified water to farmers in this era of extreme drought.
