My office is proud to present Healing Social Media Burnout: Creating Balance, a workshop to help us navigate the interactions on social media. While social media can provide incredible avenues for connection, even typical use can lead to intense emotional and psychological strain. There’s evidence that the ability to connect with others via various social media platforms, as well as text messages, can help strengthen social ties and keep us more attuned to our mental and physical health.
However, there’s also evidence that such interactions stifle human connectivity, lower elf-esteem, make users feel overwhelmed and stressed. For many, feelings of excitement that used to surround social media have shifted into feelings of dread and obligation, especially those who use social media as a means to promote their own businesses and personal brands, or who run various social media pages as a part of their employment. The critical questions we all need to ask are: “How are we using it?” and “How can we tip the balance to amplify positives and lessen the negatives?”
This workshop is designed to help you overcome the challenges from social media that may be keeping you from thriving in the workplace, as well as, give you skills for realizing greater and authentic influence in your digital communities.
We will be covering the critical topic of social media, the stress it induces, and different ways to manage it. During this event, social media strategist and founder of #DONTCALLMEPRETTY Aly Nagel, will guide us through healing social media burnout, and will equip us with the tools and systems to navigate a world that increasingly depends on various social platforms.
This event is FREE and open to the public, but space is limited so please reserve your spot today.
