SACRAMENTO – Assembly Bill 810, a bill authored by Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks), has passed two key committees in the State Assembly and is now awaiting consideration by the Assembly Appropriations Committee.

SACRAMENTO – California may soon have another tool to reach our goal of conserving 30% of our coastline by 2030 with the passage of Assembly Bill (AB) 452, authored by Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks).

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin (D-Thousand Oaks) is authoring legislation to modernize the licensing process for Certified Public Accountants (CPA). To address a shortage of accounting professionals in California, Assembly Bill (AB) 1175 will modify requirements for the CPA license and enhance consumer access to accounting services.

SACRAMENTO – In a major victory for consumers and the environment, Governor Gavin Newsom signed the nation’s first mandatory food date labeling reform bill. Assembly Bill 660 standardizes confusing date labels that result in unnecessary food waste across the state.

SACRAMENTO: Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin is pleased to announce that Governor Newsom has signed AB 1575, Katie Meyer’s Law, which will allow students at California’s public colleges and universities to select an adviser to help them navigate the disciplinary process.

SACRAMENTO: Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin is pleased to announce the Governor’s signing of AB 1779, which restores a lapsed jurisdictional law (Penal Code 786.5) allowing county prosecutors to charge related incidents of Organized Retail Theft (ORT) in a single county superior court.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin’s consumer protection legislation which addresses the increasingly-common instance of consumers losing access to their digital media purchases through no fault of their own was signed into law today by Governor Gavin Newsom.
