For the first time ever, hard-working Californians are eligible to receive a State Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) on their tax refund this year!

This credit will have a big impact on thousands of families and individuals across the state. The tax credit has been available since January 1, 2016, and I have been spreading the word and speaking with media outlets and community organizations to urge eligible California residents to file their taxes and apply for the state EITC as soon as possible to make sure they get their full refund!

I had the pleasure of speaking with Time Warner Cable Local Edition’s Bella Shaw a few weeks ago and we discussed why it is so important that Californians take advantage of this tax credit and get their full refunds this year.

Please watch our talk and share on your social networks! You can visit my website to find out if you are eligible for the EITC and where you can file here.
